SAN ISIDRO, Nueva Ecija – A 28-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly caught in possession of more than P260,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion here at about 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
Nueva Ecija police director Col. Rhoderick Campo identified the suspect only as “Loren” aka “Tomboy,” resident of Mabini Ext., Cabanatuan City.
Investigation disclosed that operatives of the municipal police’s drug enforcement unit and the provincial intelligence unit conducted a buy-bust against “Loren” upon confirmation of her alleged illicit activities.
An undercover lawman was able to purchase two sachets of shabu from the suspect. Upon arrest, however, operatives seized nine more sachets of crystal meth for a total volume of 55 grams which amount to P266,750 based on Dangerous Drugs Board valuation, police said.
Police also recovered from the suspect the genuine P500 marked bill and 47 pieces of boodle money used in the sting.
The woman was placed under the custodial facility of the town police station as charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, particularly Sec. 5 and 11 of Art. 2, were leveled against her, police added.
