YEARS AFTER taking a hiatus from showbiz, Rufa Mae Quinto makes a TV comeback.

The former GMA-7 and TV5 star will be featured in ABS-CBN’S Ipaglaban Mo episode that will air on September 23.

Since she will be appearing on a Kapamilya show, does this mean that she is transferring to ABS-CBN?

“Sa ngayon I’m here so let’s put it that way. Siyempre Kapamilya rin ako dahil dito ako nakikita, di ba? So yun na muna,” she said.

However, she expressed her gratitude for GMA-7, her home network for many years.

“Pero siyempre galing naman ako sa Kapuso pa rin. So I will never forget that, that I was a Kapuso for a long time. But sa ngayon I am a freelancer kasi nga ang asawa ko taga-America so nag-migrate na kami doon. Pero ngayon dahil may off er dito sa Kapamilya so nandito ako ngayon.”

One of Rufa Mae’s latest projects was the 2015 TV5 comedy show Mac and Chiz starring Derek Ramsay and Empoy. This time, Rufa Mae will be showing her dramatic side through the Ipaglaban Mo episode titled “Duda.”

She said about doing this episode, “It’s the best experience siyempre kasi ako po ay pinagdrama tapos yung character na pinili para sa akin sa Ipaglaban Mo is todo talaga.”

The comedienne revealed that she will eventually go back to the United States to be with her husband Trevor Magallanes.

The two got married in November 2016.

“Kasi green card holder na ako, aayusin ko na so siyempre kailangan ko na mag-stay doon pero uuwi pa rin ako dito for projects. Kasi siyempre obligasyon ko na rin sa sarili ko, sa anak ko, dahil gusto ko maging proud siya na mama niya artista, alam mo yun? Magiging mabuti kang example.”

Rufa admitted that she likes being here in the country because she is able to get helpers.

“At the same time dito sa Pilipinas marami mag-aalaga rin sa anak ko kasi doon ako lang. Ayaw ng asawa ko [kumuha ng yaya], kasi daw all the girls or everyone does it na walang help. So parang ayaw niya kasi sabi ko magdala na lang ako ganon, ayaw niya.

“In fairness naman okay lang kahit ako na yaya ng anak ko okay lang kasi nakikilala ko siya, e, yung anak mo. Saka pag meron ka namang sistema at kilala mo ang anak mo mabilis at saka mabait siya,” she said.

Through her Instagram post, Rufa Mae revealed that she will be doing a movie. She posted her photo with Boy Abunda and wrote in the caption (published as is):

“I love my manager! I’ve been with Backroom artist for 12 years and then I rest, so now I’m so happy to be back with AMA #boyabunda (@asianartistsagency)!

“So happy to be manage again by tito Boy! Todo na to! Salamat for believing in me always! Watch us tonight @twbaofficial official !!! “TAWAG NG TANGHALAN” semifinalist Paolo Antenorcruz was once married to a man.

“Tawag Ng Tanghalan” is a singing contest shown daily on noontime show “It’s showtime”on ABS-CBN In September 23, Anton, the cabin crew-ner from Paranaque became one of the semifi nalists in this year’s Season 2 of TNT.

But did you know that this guy was once married to another guy?

The video taken during the wedding of Anton and John Carasig a Filipino-Australian celebrity, is spreading like wildfire on almost all social media.

John became a contestant in “MasterChef australia” Season 7 in 2015.

In John’s post in www.australianmarriageequality.org in January 2013. he said… “Paolo and I had a civil union held in the Philippines on December 13 2012.

“We posted a video up on the web through our videographer’s (jason magbanua) website and it instantly went viral.

“I was amazed at the support we got from strangers who were touched and inspired by our story. “Even though we’re not the very first to have had a same sex commitment ceremony, it made people realise this is now. This is reality. Love is love regardless.

“I’m an Australian citizen and I’m very lucky that I have finally found the person I cannot live without!!

“And that person happens to be of the same gender and unfortunately for us, my partner has a Filipino citizenship status, which requires him a Visa to enter our country.

“My husband now wants to live his life here with me in australia and being a Filipino, it’s very difficult for him to get a visa. My cousins, who are Australian citizens just like me, have all married Filipinos.

“Because their marriage is legal they were all granted Permanent residency visas with ease.

“Why can’t I have the same right as they do?? Why do I have to jump hoops and prove that my relationship is a valid one, when opposite sex couples simple require a signature on a piece of paper, that “legally binds them”, and are granted a visa immediately, when we as a same sex couple will have to show 12months of documentation to prove that we are a couple, only to find at the end if the authority approves of our relationship or not.

“I simply want to live a life like any other, and live with the person that is meant for me. Nothing more nothing less….EQUALITY!!!”

However, their relationship ended a year after. Immediately, both found their new love.

Anton is now committed to a cabin crew at Philippine Airlines.

On the other hand, John is now on his 4-year relationship with Davied Evangelio, a hair & makeup artist, dancer/choreographer, photographer..

Anton also joined ABS-CBN’s XFactor Philippines in 2012.
