Widus Foundation Manager Ronnel Golimlim together with Bamban Municipal Health Officer Dr. Rommel Leal led the official turnover of the newly rehabilitated P2.2-M Rural Health Unit 2 (RHU2) held at the San Roque.

The newly improved health facility included four units of stethoscope (Littman), four units of blood pressure apparatus, one unit of centrifuge, an autoclave unit, a Welch Allyn Otoscope LED, and 16 feet by 16 feet white outdoor tent.

Golimlim said that the timely renovation of the RHU aims to help improve the efficiency and quality of health services being given to the public especially to the indigent families of the community.

“WFI believes that access to public health services should be equitable and is the right of every Filipino. We are here for the long haul in helping Bamban create sustainable and impact-driven health care services. This is part of our commitment in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 of ensuring healthy lives and promoting the over-all well-being of all people at all ages,” Golimlim

For his part, Dr. Leal expressed his gratitude and appreciation for WFI’s continued support in helping Tarlaquenos get better health care.

“On behalf of Mayor Feliciano and the residents of Bamban, Tarlac, we would like to thank WFI and PAGCOR for their generosity. Your donation will not be in vain for we will make sure that it will be well taken care of. We hope that you continue to help us and others in uplifting the quality of healthcare in our country,” Leal added.

The new upgraded RHU 2 building is located at Barangay San Roque, Bamban Tarlac and serves around 80,000 patients. The upgraded rural health center now provides various health services such as primary care, dental, TB Dots and emergency care.
