Top drug peddler nabbed, P560-K shabu confiscated

OLONGAPO CITY – The Number 1 suspected drug pusher and a cohort were arrested by operatives of the Drugs Enforcement Unit of Police Station 1 of the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) in drug operations in Barangay West Bajac-Bajac here.

City acting police director, Senior Supt. Benjamin De Leon Sembrano identifi ed the suspects as Florenio Miclat Jr., y Nuñez, 56, of Barangay San Nicolas, Castillejos, Zambales; and his companion Ronnie Cubilla y Panao, 40, of San Lorenzo, Taytay, Rizal.

The suspects were arrested during the buy-bust operation selling a small transparent plastic sachet of shabu worth P7,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

Sembrano said Miclat is listed as the “most notorious street-level target drug user and pusher in the city.”

Confiscated from the suspects were 23 sachets of suspected shabu with approximate weight of 400 grams and estimated total street value of P560,000, the marked money, and one Ford Ranger Wildtrak pick-up with LTO license conduction number CO K605 that was used during the transaction.

Sembrano lauded this accomplishment of Station 1 jointly with other OCPO units as the biggest haul in arrest of drug personalities since he assumed office as acting city director.

He also assured the public that OCPO will “relentlessly implement the marching orders” of President Duterte and PNP chief Director-General Oscar Albayalde “to invigorate strengthen the PNP campaign against illegal drug and Oplan Double Barrel Reloaded.”

The suspects were locked up in jail facing charges for Violation of Section 5 and 11, Article ll of RA 9165. (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
