CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – In line with the 447th Aldo Ning Kapampangan celebration, some 730 inmates of the Pampanga Provincial Jail benefited from the medical and dental mission on Tuesday organized by the provincial government.
The medical mission was led by the Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Marcelo Jaohico with the cooperation and support of the chiefs of the 11 provincial and district hospitals.
According to Jaochico, proper medications were prescribed and provided to some 500 detainees during the activity.
Meanwhile, tooth extractions and other dental procedures were performed to at least 230 inmates who were suffering from tooth decay and cavities.
Jaochico lauded the Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda for her efforts in leading the province in a compassionate manner.
The medical mission is done yearly as the lady governor wants to secure the health and well-being of the inmates.
