CLARK FREEPORT – “Towards a healthier and well-informed community.”
Thus, Dr. Charmie Arribe, medical director of The Medical City Clark, underscored the rationale of the memorandum of agreement the medical facility signed with the Central Luzon Media Association-Pampanga Chapter.
This, at the sidelight of the Balitaan at Talakayan forum conducted by Pampanga’s premier press club at TMC-Clark on May 23. Topics of discussion at the forum were heat stroke, pertussis, pulmo vascular, and summer related diseases, as well as, in preparation for the incoming La Nina phenomenon, water-borne diseases.
TMC-Clark also made a short presentation of its modern surgical procedures and cutting-edge diagnostics and treatments as a leading provider of world-class health care services.
Highlighted were its cardiovascular program with its state-of-the art hybrid cardiac and vascular catheterization laboratory; kidney health and transplantation; cancer care with its Julius K. Quiambao nuclear medicine and molecular imaging center and other centers for cancer of the breasts, liver and pancreas, center for minimally invasive surgery, chemo-infusion unit, pain clinic, center for integrative medicine, and genomics; critical care; medical tourism; and residency and fellowship program on critical care and adult medicine, family and community medicine, and internal medicine.
“In these times that all kinds of disinformation and fake news encroach even into the medical field, factual reporting takes utmost importance,” Arribe said.
It was noted during the discussion that among the general impression of the public on TMC-Clark is the high cost of its medical services.
“We are not expensive, we are worth it,” quipped hospital administrator Dr. Alejandro Garcia Jr.
The MOA signed by CLMA-Pampanga president Alberto “Boy” Santiago, executive vice president Mark Allen Sison and TMC Clark president and CEO DR. Noelito Lacsamana designates CLMA-Pampanga as one of the official media partners of TMC Clark, with TMC-Clark offering discounted rates on medical services to CLMA-Pampanga members and their legal dependents.
“This collaboration between CLMA-Pampanga and TMC Clark marks a significant stride in providing top-tier healthcare services to media association members,ensuring they have access to quality medical care at discounted rates,” enthused Santiago.
