ANGELES CITY – This premier city continues to strengthen its position as a safe, secure, and tourist-friendly destination, supported by strong coordination among the local government, law enforcement agencies, and the business community.

Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, the city government has prioritized peace and order initiatives to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and investors. Through close collaboration with the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), authorities have maintained a low crime rate, strengthening the confidence of both local and international visitors.

Part of these efforts includes the establishment of a Korean Police Help Desk at Police Station 4, designed to provide assistance to Korean residents and visitors while strengthening coordination between law enforcement authorities and the Korean community in the city. The initiative aims to improve public safety services and ensure that foreign visitors feel secure and supported during their stay in Angeles City.

To further enhance communication with international visitors, the ACPO also instituted a Korean Language Training Program for police personnel in partnership with the Korean Community Association of Central Luzon. The four-week training program equips police officers with basic language skills and cultural awareness to better assist Korean tourists and residents.

The city’s commitment to safety was also demonstrated through the successful joint law enforcement operation conducted by the ACPO together with the Quezon City Police District and the Manila Police District, which resulted in the arrest of a suspect linked to a robbery with homicide case involving a Korean national. The operation, carried out through coordinated efforts of multiple police units, highlighted the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in ensuring that justice is served and public safety is protected.

The suspect, known by the alias “Bote,” was apprehended following the service of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 115 of Angeles City for the crime of robbery with homicide under Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code. The swift arrest was welcomed by members of the Korean community and further reinforced the city’s commitment to protecting both residents and foreign nationals.

Beyond law enforcement initiatives, the Angeles City government also continues to work closely with various business organizations to maintain a business-friendly and tourism-ready environment. These groups include the Angeles Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hotel and Restaurant Association in Pampanga, American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines-Northern Luzon, Alliance of Travel and Tour Agencies of Pampanga, Clark Investors and Locators Association, Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, and the Angeles City Alliance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.

These partnerships help strengthen the city’s tourism and economic growth while ensuring that safety and order remain a priority across commercial establishments, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment areas.

With continued collaboration between the city government, police authorities, tourism stakeholders, and the private sector including hospitality groups. Angeles City remains committed to promoting a secure, welcoming, and vibrant environment for every Angeleño, tourist, and investor.

The sustained peace and order situation in the city, combined with active cooperation from the business sector and community organizations, continues to strengthen Angeles City’s reputation as one of the leading tourism and investment destinations in Central Luzon. Angeles CIO
