True to the saying that in singing you are praying twice, the group calling itself “Siwala” has launched another collection of Capampangan Christmas songs for the praise and worship of the Lord Jesus Christ.

What better time to release it than in the Yuletide season, said Atty. Lorna Salangsang-Dee, chief of the Register of Deeds of Pampanga and concurrently the Regional Registrar of Deeds of the Land Registration Authority (LRA).

The collection is a recording of Capampangan translations of the best-loved Christmas hymns, according to Norily C. Baluyut, a deaconess of the United Methodist Church who is also currently the head of the Pre-Elementary Division of the Department of Education in Pampanga.

The Siwala Clergy Minstrels led by Dee and Baluyut as well as Arnel De Pano and Bishop Rodolfo A. Juan sang the Capampangan hymns under the title: “Datang Ka O Emmanuel.”

In 2009, Dee, Baluyut and De Pano formed the group Siwala and had it incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under the company name “Sing Hymns Worshipping the Lord Almighty And Live Abundantly (Siwala), Inc.” and in the same year the group launched its first CD, “SIWALA Makapagmulalang Kalam.”
