CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) provided a one-stop shop registration service for a total of 10 newly-formed agrarian reform beneficiaries’ organizations (ARBOs) in Pampanga.

In particular, the Tarlac Extension Office (TAREO) assisted ARBOs in the processing of their SEC registration and releasing of their certificates of incorporation.

SEC-TAREO Director Richard Laus said they also trained ARBOs on the online filing of SEC annual reportorial requirements and registration to the Electronic Filing and Submission Tool portal.

“The initiative aims to streamline the registration process and ensure that even those at the grassroots level can access vital resources and legalize their organizations,” he added.

Meanwhile, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Pampanga Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Francis Neil Pedralvez thanked SEC for paving the way to fast-track the registration of their ARBOs.

“This joint intervention of DAR and SEC will surely empower our organized ARBOs by obtaining legal personality as associations that will provide access to support programs and services from various government agencies,” Pedralvez furthered.

SEC-TAREO and DAR Pampanga also signed a Memorandum of Agreement under the SEC Communication, Advocacy and Network initiative.

It intends to capacitate ARBOs on the company registration process, reportorial requirements, smart and sustainable investing, financial literacy and investment scam prevention. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)
