PHILPOST conducts a Postal ID (PID) Mall Caravan in select SM Supermalls nationwide from July – December to bring PID closer to everyone. This is to encourage more applicants and strengthen the PID presence, especially in areas where the PID capturing service is not readily available.

PID Mall Caravan is a PID mobile capturing activity roving in select SM Malls – making PID the most accessible government ID there is in the country. The following is the tentative promo schedule at the corresponding malls: August 3-5 at SM City Cauayan, September 6-7 at SM City Rosales, October 15-16 at SM City Baguio and November 15-16 at SM City Tarlac.

PID can be used for a safer and secured transactions. The improved PID can’t be easily faked, because of its strong security features. Every Filipino may acquire their own PID. It does not have age, employment or skill requirement. The improved PID is made from durable PVC plastic. It shows the name, digital photo, address, ID number and other significant information of the card holder. It also has encrypted quick response or QR code imprinted on the improved PID. It can be scanned using smartphone that has the downloadable application – proving that the ID is genuine and belongs to the right owner.

Despite of its great improvement, requirements remain simple for those who want to apply. First, you need a proof of identity. Submit any one (1) of the following: Birth Certificate Issued by NSO or Local Civil Registry; GSIS or SSS UMID Card; Driver’s License; or Passport. For Married females, they must bring their marriage certificate to validate change of name from birth document. If the applicants do not have these, they may submit ANY TWO (2) of the following documents, at least one of which should bear the applicant’s photo and signature: BIR ID, Baptismal Certificate, Certificate of Birth, College or Post-Graduate Transcript of Records, Confirmation Certificate, Elementary or High School Form 137, Marriage Certificate, Valid Alumni ID, Valid Basic Postal ID, Valid College, School or University ID, Valid Company ID, Valid Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID, Valid NBI Clearance, Valid OWWA ID, Valid Pag-Ibig ID, Valid PhilHealth ID, Valid PRC ID, Valid Paper-based Postal ID, Valid Police Clearance, Valid Seaman’s Book, Valid Senior Citizen ID, Valid Tax Identification Number Card, Valid Voter’s ID.

Second, you need a proof of address. Submit any one (1) of the following: Barangay Certificate of Residency issued within three (3 months) prior to PID application; Certifi ed True Copy of Lease; Certified True Copy of Titles issued by the Land Registration Authority (LRA); Certified True Copy of Real Estate Tax Receipt; Bank statement; Credit card statement; School billing statement or Utility bill (cable, electric, internet, landline, telephone, water). And lastly, two (2) copies of duly-accomplished PID application form. Just go to the SM Mall on its scheduled PID caravan or you may also go to any post office and submit the above-mentioned requirements. Your photo will be captured along with your fingerprints and signature.

After the usual capturing process is finished, all PID applicants in each mall site are qualified to join the promo “Pick-A-Prize” to win any of the following prizes: Pen, Twist Fan or Tote Bag. After claiming the prizes, participants are asked to fill out the promo monitoring sheet with their full name, PR or OR number, contact number and signature to signify that they have claimed their prize.

Also, successful PID applicants will be given a surprise treat by select Privilege Program partner merchants in the form of GCs, freebies or special discounts once they present PID official receipt (OR) in the partner merchant’s establishment on the day of their application. Applicants may also opt to take photos at the PID Photobooth.

PID is widely accepted as a valid ID such as in government agencies, banks, remittance center worldwide. PID costs 504 PHP (VAT and delivery fee included) and is already valid for 3 years. A Phil- Post mail carrier will deliver the PID to your doorstep. For delivery in Metro Manila, approximately fifteen (15) working days from application; in other major cities and municipalities, approximately twenty (20) working days; and in island provinces and remote barangays, approximately thirty (30) working days.
