FORT DEL PILAR, BAGUIO CITY — The Philippine Military Academy (PMA), the country’s premier military school, is inviting qualified Filipino youth to pursue a noble and challenging career in military service through the PMA Cadetship Program.

As part of its continuing recruitment efforts, the PMA Entrance Examination (PMAEE) will be conducted on September 5–6, 2026, in Olongapo City, providing aspiring cadets in Zambales and nearby areas an opportunity to take the examination closer to home.

PMAEE Testing Venue:

3rd Floor, Olongapo City Civic Center Rizal Avenue, Olongapo City

A JOURNEY OF EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP, AND SERVICE

Established from the tradition of the Academia Militar in Malolos, Bulacan in 1898, PMA continues to develop future oficers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)—the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Air Force.

PMA offers the Bachelor of Science in Management Major in Security Studies (BSMSS). The curriculum develops future military leaders through Character, Academic, Military, and Physical (CAMP) development.

Cadets are trained to become leaders of character, military professionals, resource managers, effective communicators, and advocates of national development. Beyond academic education, cadets undergo military training, physical development, leadership formation, and activities designed to strengthen discipline, teamwork, resilience, and responsibility.

COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS FOR CADETS

Those accepted into the Academy receive free college education, board and lodging, uniforms, pay and allowances, and medical and dental care.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the AFP, providing them with a progressive career in the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, or Philippine Air Force. Qualified cadets may also have opportunities to study in foreign military academies and participate in international exchange programs.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The PMA information material identifies the following basic qualifications:

  • Filipino citizen, natural-born or naturalized; • Single and never been married;

MORE THAN A MILITARY SCHOOL

Life at PMA is demanding. Cadets follow a regimented daily routine, live according to the Cadet Honor Code and Honor System, and undergo academic, military, physical, and character development activities.

For those who embrace the challenge, PMA offers an opportunity to develop the knowledge, discipline, leadership, and character necessary to serve the Filipino people and the nation.

TAKE THE PMA CHALLENGE

The Philippine Military Academy calls on qualified Filipino youth who possess the determination, discipline, intellect, and desire to serve the country to consider the PMA Cadetship Program as a pathway toward becoming future leaders of the AFP.
