ANGELES CITY – Assorted party drugs worth some P2.290 million were seized and three suspects were arrested in a police buy-bust operation at The Sharp Clarkhills condominium complex inside the Clark Freeport on Aug. 26.
Police identified the arrested suspects by their aliases Jonel, of Pulung Cacutud, Angeles City; Holly and Henesy, both of Mabalacat City. A fourth suspect identified as Lee, a Korean national, remains at large.
An inventory of the seized illegal drugs recorded 965 pieces of suspected ecstasy tablets with an estimated standard drug price of P1,640,500; approximately 97 grams of suspected ketamine with an estimated SDP of P291,000; nine pieces of marijuana vape cartridges with an estimated SDP of P31,500; 80 pieces of K-Pods (illicit vape cartridges) containing suspected liquid ketamine with an estimated SDP of P320,000; and one bottle of Happy Water (a drug mix sold at parties) with an estimated value of P7,000.
Also recovered during the operation were one genuine P1,000 and 24 pieces of boodle P1,000 bills used as buy-bust money, as well as P50,000 in cash reportedly confiscated from the suspects.
The arrested suspects, together with the confiscated evidence, were brought to Police Station 4 for investigation, documentation, and proper disposition. Appropriate charges for violation of Section 5 in relation to Sections 26 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), are being prepared for filing before the appropriate authorities.
The operation was jointly conducted by elements of Police Station 4 as the lead unit, together with the city intelligence unit and city drug enforcement unit, regional intel and special operations group, regional drug enforcement unit, and the Mabalacat City Police Station.
