CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – No untoward incident was recorded on the first day of the campaign period for local candidates in the whole of Central Luzon.
“We are hopeful that this peaceful atmosphere will continue throughout the campaign period until its final day on May 10,” said Police Regional Office 3 director BGen. Jean S. Fajardo said on March 29.
Fajardo assured the public that security measures to ensure the safety of communities are well in place, including Commission on Elections and law enforcement checkpoints, the PNP Oplan Sita, and simulation exercises.
The PNP continues to monitor and secure all election-related activities, reinforcing its dedication to upholding democracy and ensuring the safety of both candidates and the voting public, she said.
“The Philippine National Police, alongside our partner agencies, is fully committed to providing the highest level of security to guarantee a safe, orderly, honest, and peaceful election on May 12.
