Angeleños have now experienced again the sight and virtually the sounds of F15 or 16 fighter jets roaming our skies . Even choppers and BlackHawk helicopters fill our skies at times . Well this brings the memories of the then former US Air Force Base at Clark. The GI’s are practically back , most of them are based in Clark again for the military exercises courtesy of our VFA with them. Trek by Fields avenue at night and you know what I mean, or just drop by SM Clark and you would see the youthful Americans shopping for bargains and souvenirs.

This is a long shot, but I hope they donate Fighter jets for our Philippine Air Force,  for the record we don’t have one and maintaining one also entails millions in cost. This would greatly enhance our Philippine Air Force capability.

As stated also in my previous article, I would again request our local government or NGO’s to help our Aeta brothers in peddling their wares in a much more decent and sanitary place. Helping them become entrepreneurs would enhance their dignity and more importantly gain financial independence. As of now, they peddle their agriculture produce infront of the Sto Rosario Church and Holy Family walkway. The good thing about it, they enjoy good sales for them. At least they don’t have to beg in the streets this Christmas.

Products up for grab include yams, fruits, flowers etc grown in the mountainside. I also hope a semi permanent structure could be allocated for them, if we have helped our Muslim community and patronize their wares in San Nicolas Public Market , then it goes we can also help our Aeta  brothers gain a foothold in selling their produce in a much more convenient and sanitary place.

Another mall is about to open here in Angeles. It is located near the Angeles NLEX exit. At least more jobs and other direct and indirect business would spur from it. And from the looks of it, this mall with a strategic place, would spell  greater traffic in the Angeles-Pandan- Magalang road area. This is for sure.

One news worth noting also, is that the price of oil per barrel has already gone down to USD 70 a barrel, I am just wondering why our oil companies can not bring it down one time and at a much higher rate where we the ordinary people can feel the difference. Just asking.

The arrival of JocJoc Bolante has now stirred up more questions than answers for now. He went directly to the St Luke’s Med Center for medical treatment . Upon his arrival  he was also welcomed by militants, who question the double standards our justice system for the rich and poor and his involvement in this so-called fertilizer fund scam.  Again we can’t blame them.
Kudos to the local government for the improvements in the Angeles City Hall, the taxpayers welcome lounge is a welcome improvement and the toilet rooms are also worth mentioning. When you drop by City Hall, take a look for yourself.

Lastly December 6 is fast approaching, and as of today our National Treasure Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is in full swing for his training, and reports coming from Pacland (his defacto website) reveal that some of his sparring partners already felt the brunt of his power, causing them to either surrender or worse pack up their bags home. Lets just pray he wins against Oscar dela Hoya, the acknowledged Golden Boy and crowd drawer of boxing today. Win or lose the Pacman becomes the first Filipino athlete to earn almost a billion pesos, I repeat yes a Billion pesos for this bout. Ride on Pacman.
