PASAY CITY – The National Bureau of Investigation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority to develop key facilities in New Clark City aimed at strengthening the bureau’s capabilities and supporting its evolving operational requirements.
Signed on June 15 at the NBI headquarters here by NBI director Atty. Melvin Matibag and BCDA president and CEO Joshua Bingcang, the MOU formalizes plans to build an NBI regional office, a dedicated NBI Academy for training and professional development, and modern forensic and investigative facilities.
The initiative forms part of the vision to position NCC as a hub for research, training, innovation, and inter-agency collaboration, while also serving as a disaster-resilient backup government center outside Metro Manila.
The MOU also aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s agenda to modernize the country’s public safety and criminal justice institutions. Press release
