Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago, Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, and City Human Resource Management Officer Rachelle Yusi lead the awarding of CSF-LGU outstanding employees during the PRAISE (Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence) 2018 on October 29, 2018 at the City Hall. Joining them are this year’s Lifetime Achievement Awardees.)

Ing pekamasanting a serbisyu, manibatan king isip at pusu. At pagmaragul kung iyan ing bibye da ring kekatamung empleyadu king siyudad.”

This was Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago’s remark during the awarding ceremony of PRAISE or the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence on October 29, 2018 at the City Hall.

PRAISE, an annual recognition of selected CSF-LGU employees and departments which have displayed outstanding public service, is in compliance with the Civil Service Commission’s Memorandum Circular No. 01, s. 2001.

According to Santiago, public service does not only require one to be intellectual, but to be kindhearted, as well, citing “ing pamagserbisyu, kayantabe ne ning pagiging magaling at pagiging matinu at mapagmalasakit.”

The award-giving body is divided into categories namely Lifetime Achievement Award, Career and Self-Development Award, Exceptional Public Servant Award, and Special Citations.

Ten (10) individuals were given the Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition given to voluntary and compulsory retirees at the age of sixty (60)-sixty-five (65) years old with at least fifteen (15) years of service.

Joining the roster of awardees were the recipients of Career and Self-Development Award, an award recognized to employees who have earned a second bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate degree. For this award, seven (7) individuals were recognized.

The Exceptional Public Servant Award, which was handed to a total of three (3) employees, on the other hand, is given to “individuals who have worked most effectively and efficiently for the improvement of public service and has performed exemplary dedication and contribution to duty.”

This award is divided into three clusters namely Economic and Environmental Development, Social Development, and Governance Development.

Meanwhile, for the Special Citations, which are given to employees or group of employees whose achievement for the year 2017, in local, regional, and national levels has made a significant impact and contributions to the city government, nine (9) were awarded.

Joining Santiago in the awarding ceremony were Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin and City Human Resource Management Officer Rachelle Yusi.
