SAN FELIPE, Zambales – A man was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms in Barangay Farañal here.
In his report to Zambales Police Provincial Office director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr., San Felipe police chief Capt. Ramil Menor identified the suspect as Gary Valdez y Aquino, aka Gary Boy, 33, resident of Paterno Street, Purok 4, of the said barangay.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Vicente S. Fernandez, Jr., of the San Felipe Municipal Trial Court.
Confiscated from suspect were a black Uzi 9mm Hydra submachine gun, one magazine assembly loaded with 15 live ammunitions, one black baton sword, one 9mm Norinco pistol with two magazine assemblies loaded with eight live ammunitions, 70 empty shells for 9mm, six blue ammo boxes containing 82 empty shells for 9mm, black ammo box containing 49 empty shells of 9mm, one black Armscor air rifle, one brown Winchester .22 rifle, a holster and sling bag.
The suspect is now locked up in jail facing charges for violation of RA 10591.
