ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. is strongly urging the City Council to extend for one month the business tax payment for the renewal of permits  of existing business establishments without penalties.
Lazatin asked the Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Vicenta “Vicky” Vega-Cabigting to pass a Resolution for the one-month extension.
“Ngayon pa lamang po nagpapasalamat na tayo kina Vice Mayor Vega-Cabigting at sa ating City Councilors sa pakikiisa sa atin para sa inisyatibong ito,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin said this is to further accommodate all the business establishments, new or for renewal, and encourage them to pay their taxes.
To recall, the administration of Mayor Lazatin has been continuously doing this, as also a way of assisting business owners to comply with the policies and perform their obligations.
In addition, the Business Permit and Licensing Division has been regularly inspecting business establishments in the city, in order to ensure the safety and health of locals, especially in the face of the pandemic.
