CLARK FREEPORT ZONE (CIAC-CCO, 18 January 2023) ⸺ The Clark International Airport Corp. retained its ISO 9001:2015 certification after passing an external surveillance audit conducted recently by the TÜV Rheinland Audit Team, a third-party certifying body.

The TÜV Rheinland audit team headed by Ramoncito Puyat conducted the day-long audit which assessed the CIAC’s management system and its conformity to applicable statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.

The audit team declared “No Non-Conformities” for the agency, citing two positive findings involving the CIAC’s Human Resources Department and its Management Information System.

“The positive audit result confirms the agency’s renewed adherence to ISO-level standards for its corporate quality management system which is proven to be effective in realizing the agency’s goals which includes, among others, the streamlining of business processes and simplifying of service delivery through digitalization,” CIAC OIC Darwin Cunanan said.

The CIAC head commended its quality management team and all the employees involved in the implementation of the ISO QMS Standard, emphasizing the citation as a testament of the organization’s continuous efforts in ensuring that its system is at par with global management standards.

“The CIAC will continue to conduct capacity-building for its QMS representatives and strive for excellence in providing quality service,” Cunanan added.

ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard dedicated to quality management systems ─ the combined processes, resources, assets and corporate values that exceed customer expectations and promotes organizational efficiency and continual improvement.

CIAC is the government-owned corporation tasked to develop and manage the civil aviation complex in Clark, first certified ISO 9001:2008 in 2010 for its International Passenger Facilitation Process during the time it still operated the Clark International Airport (CRK).

However, following the privatization of the airport, the scope of the certification now covers the CIAC’s estate management business.
