ORANI, Bataan — A top official of the Laus Group of Companies (LGC) on Tuesday said they look forward to providing sustainable and stable livelihood to local professional workers in Bataan as they opened along the Roman Expressway here their first Mitsubishi Carworld dealership in the province.
LGC chair and CEO Lisset Laus-Velasco said that the recent years have not been easy for everyone because of the pandemic that affected the lives of the people in many ways it could not be imagined.
“Today is just the beginning to realize our shared objective of countryside development, customer excellence, growth and progress in the community, in our province and in our region. We are back where our founder started and we are happy to be here,” Velasco said.
The founder she was referring to is their father, the late Levy Laus. Their widowed mother Tess Laus considered as the LGC matriarch was present in the inauguration and blessing of Mitsubishi Carworld Bataan.
Also present were Velasco’s brother Paul Laus, LGC president, other officials and guests.
Velasco said their father had big dreams for Bataan not only because his first customer as a car dealer was from Bataan but because of the growth and progress he saw in the province every time he visited.
“We are truly grateful for the trust and confidence given by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC). We are happy and a proud partner of Mitsubishi for more than four decades. We take pride in its strong performance and trademark leadership here in the Philippines,” she enthused.
Velasco noted the presence of Carworld in Bataan is a testament of commitment of MMPC to provide greater accessibility and convenience to its customers.
“We are one with them as we offer the same commitment of providing professionalism, good customer experience, genuine parts and quality service that our Mitsubishi car owners surely deserve,” she said.
“As the 6th Mitsubishi dealer of the Laus group, Carworld Bataan along with the other Carworld dealerships in Central Luzon is a testament of a true desire not just the growth in size but to be able to reach out and serve our valued, loyal and growing costumers in the region,” Velasco added.
Takeshi Hara, MMPC president and CEO congratulated Velasco and other members of the Laus family, saying Carworld is one of the fastest growing automotive dealerships in the country.
“As we open the door of the new Mitsubishi Motors Bataan Branch, we envision a very strong collaborative effort that is here to provide cheaper and top-notched well-oriented service to our customers,” Hara said.
Bataan 2nd District Rep. Albert Garcia warmly welcomed the Carworld leadership in the province. “With the establishment of Carworld in Bataan, mapapalapit ang inyong mga suki sa kanilang mga paboritong mga sasakyan particularly ang Mitsubishi Motors.”
The solon thanked Carworld not only for the development in the Roman Expressway but for the employment and economic activities that will be generated.
Garcia described the Laus family as visionary: “Ang Roman Expressway ang main trail route of the province of Bataan that is being widened from four to six lanes leading to the tip of Bataan peninsula were the Freeport Area of Bataan is located na doon din gagawin ang pinakamahabang tulay sa buong Pilipinas at isa sa pinakamahaba sa buong mundo.”
He was referring to the Bataan – Cavite Interlink Bridge that will cross Manila Bay spanning up to 32 kilometers. “We will see a lot more trading, commercial and economic activities happening not only in Bataan but in this particular area kaya talagang napaka-visionary ang Laus family.”
Garcia said Bataan officials headed by his brother, Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia III, are in full support for the Laus Group.
