As La Rose Noire Foundation celebrates its 10th Year Anniversary this year, it is marking the milestone by granting 10 Wishes to different sectors of the community. One of these wishes was fulfilled through the turnover of a newly renovated playground to Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, a home for children with special needs, realizing the shelter’s long-held dream of providing its children with a beautiful, safe, and inclusive place to play.
More than a playground, the project provides a nurturing space where children can play, learn, and simply enjoy being children. According to Fr. Red Jaldo, Executive Director of Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, play is essential to a child’s physical, emotional, and social development, helping build confidence, encourage interaction, and create moments of joy and healing.

Pamela Angeles Flores, Executive Director of La Rose Noire Foundation, shared, “More than a gift of play, this project is a gift of love from La Rose Noire Foundation that will bring laughter and joy to the children with special needs.” She added, “We realize that what connects us is far greater than what makes us different.”

The turnover ceremony was filled with smiles and excitement as the children eagerly explored their new playground. Flores also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation’s Directors and benefactors whose generosity has made possible the Foundation’s many projects for underserved Filipino communities.

As La Rose Noire Foundation celebrates a decade of service, it remains committed to uplifting vulnerable communities, building schools, sharing bread, granting wishes, and creating opportunities that bring hope and lasting change.
