The Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 (DTI-3) officially launched the second batch of the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program for 2026, welcoming a new group of micro and small entrepreneurs who are ready to grow their businesses through learning and mentorship.
This year’s launch is extra meaningful as KMME celebrates its 10th year of helping Filipino entrepreneurs build stronger and more sustainable businesses. For the past decade, the program has equipped thousands of MSMEs with practical knowledge, expert guidance, and valuable business connections.
More than a series of lectures, KMME bridges classroom learning with real world business experience. Through hands on mentoring from successful entrepreneurs and industry experts, participants learn practical strategies they can immediately apply to improve and expand their businesses.
The program covers key business areas such as marketing, finance, operations, product development, human resource management, taxation, and business planning. Throughout the mentoring sessions, participants also receive personalized guidance from experienced mentors who share lessons from their own entrepreneurial journeys.
In her message to the new batch, DTI Undersecretary for the Regional Operations Group, Blesila A. Lantayona, encouraged participants to embrace every opportunity to learn.
“Thank you for being open to new learnings, which we hope will guide you in growing your businesses. In the future, we would love to see you return as mentors, sharing your knowledge and helping other entrepreneurs succeed. Together, we can build a community where people learn from one another, support each other, and grow together,” Usec Lantayona mentioned.
DTI-3 Regional Director Edna D. Dizon also welcomed the participants and encouraged them to make the most of the program by actively engaging with their mentors and fellow entrepreneurs.
“As we celebrate 10 years of KMME, we also celebrate the dreams and determination of every entrepreneur who chooses to learn and improve. We hope this journey will give our participants the confidence, knowledge, and support they need to take their businesses to the next level,” Dizon said.
The KMME Program is a three-month online mentoring and learning program that helps MSMEs strengthen their businesses through practical lessons and guidance from experienced mentors. As one of DTI’s flagship initiatives, it continues to empower Filipino entrepreneurs to build sustainable enterprises, create jobs, and support economic growth.
