IS IT true that Maine Mendoza has been suspended from the longest running noontime variety show Eat Bulaga?
It’s been a week since the Dubsmash Queen last appeared in her segment “Juan For All All for Juan”.
One of the main hosts, Bossing Vic Sotto denied the allegation.
“I’m not really in the know, I’m not privy to anything na personal niyang desisyon. Kasi, para sa akin, kung ano man yun… respetuhin na lang natin kung ano man yung mga issues niya, kung ano man yung mga pinagdadaanan niya. Siya lang nakakaalam dun. I’m not privy to anything personal pagdating sa kanya.”
Has bossing feel that maine is undergoing something before she took her vacation?
“Kasi hindi naman kami masyado nagkikita, e. Most of the time, nasa barangay siya, nasa studio kami. Parang once a week lang kami nagkakasama sa studio, e, kapag Saturdays. Ako, personally, wala akong nararamdaman.”
Maine has not shown up on the show when she posted an open letter for the Aldub nation, regarding her, Alden Richards and Jake Ejercito.
Right after posting the letter, news came out she has been suspended. Some people say that Maine is leaving the show who made her a phenomenal star.
Other say that she’s in the US taking a short vacation.
One thing is for sure, no one knows when is Maine coming back.
“I don’t know, you can ask Mr. [Tony] Tuviera, wala rin akong alam dun.”
Once and for all, was maine suspended from eat Bulaga?
“Definitely not. Ba’t naman isususpende siya ng TAPE, ‘no, ng Eat Bulaga? Lalo na kay Mr. Tuviera, respetado niya ‘yang opinyon, pag-iisip, at kung anuman ang pinagdadaanan ng bawat kasama namin sa Dabarkads.”
Has Bossing something to say to all the Aldub fans?
“E, yun lang naman pagkakaalam ko, wala naman talaga akong alam, e. Yung love team, hindi naman talaga mawawala na yun, e. Andun na yun habang buhay. So, antayin na lang natin ang mga kasunod na kabanata.”

MJ Lastimosa has only good words for fellow beauty queen Rachel Peters, who recently competed in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant but failed to take home the crown.
“Every after events niya every day, she will go to the training camp just to train kahit na madaling-araw na. Just knowing na she has so much heart for this competition, feeling ko nakalimutan na natin i-appreciate yung mga bagay na ginawa niya just to show the world how a Filipina woman worked hard for a competition.”
MJ who was our representative in the 2014 Miss Universe pageant, like Rachel MJ landed as semi-finalist.
“Ang masasabi ko sa kanya, just embrace it. Kung anuman ang nararamdaman mo, lilipas din ‘yan. I was so sad when I didn’t win the cut but life goes on. After that, there’s so much doors to open for you, you’re a wonderful person, you’re beautiful, you have a beautiful heart. I know that marami pang opportunities ang darating sa iyo. Mahal ka namin and sinuportahan ka namin.”
MJ mentioned that Pinoys have high expectations on candidates vying for the crown.
“I think she apologized, first of all, because of the expectations of the Filipino people. Kasi, every year, we’ve been making it to the cut, di ba? Siguro yun nga, ang expectation lang ng mga Filipino sa mga candidates natin every year, masyado nang mataas.
“Nakakalimutan nila na it’s still a competition. There are ninety-plus women, all vying for one crown, and all of these women are the best in their countries.”
MJ is now a regular cast of “La Luna Sangre.”
“Feeling ko, nakakalimutan natin na hindi naman puwede na isang bansa lang ang manalo again and again and again. Every candidate representing their country, they’re just [there] of course to showcase the beauty of their country.
“Instead na ma-appreciate natin yung efforts… kasi I’ve seen how Rachel worked so hard for this pageant. Every after events niya every day, she will go to the training camp just to train kahit na madaling-araw na.
“Just knowing na she has so much heart for this competition, feeling ko nakalimutan na natin i-appreciate yung mga bagay na ginawa niya just to show the world how a Filipina woman worked hard for a competition.”
MJ was asked her opinion on netizens bashing Pia Wurtzbach, who happened to be one of the judges.
People say the former Miss Universe feels insecure about Rachel.
“I think, in every competition naman, kahit di pageant ‘yan, kahit siguro basketball pa ‘yan, maghahanap at maghahanap tayo ng ibe-blame natin pag di tayo nananalo or di yun favor sa atin. I think it was just natural na lahat ng reaksiyon ng mga tao, speculations, mga gawa-gawa na nila yun.
“Sana huwag tayong mag-conclude kasi di naman natin alam kung ano yung nangyari. Kung anuman ang naririnig natin, it may sound na, ‘Naku, parang totoo talaga. Ito talaga reliable source,’ pero hindi pa rin totoo ‘yan. Lahat ‘yan haka-haka lang.
“So, whatever happened behind [the scenes], I’m sure naman Pia supported Rachel. Alam ko na ginawa niya lang din yung dapat niyang gawin.”she stressed.

Is he okay with the idea of working with his ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban?
“Of course! I’ve said that ever since. Angel is one of the best actresses out there. Biased man ang dating because she was my girlfriend, but she’s a brilliant actress. So ako, kung mabibigyan ako ng opportunity to work with her at maganda ang script, I’m most defi nitely… Muntik na kaming magkatrabaho before.”
Had it pushes through, it would be his fi rst team up with Angelica after their break up.
“She agreed to do the movie, pero schedule lang.”
Derek considers that his relationship with Angelica has been good so far.
“Just when I got back from Italy, kasi kasama niya ang kaibigan ko sa Siargao. Tumawag ako sa kaibigan ko, siya ang sumagot. ‘Uy, kamusta?’ sabi niya. I haven’t spoken to her in a long time. [It was the] third, fourth time I’ve spoken to her since the breakup.”
How did they end up in speaking terms?
“Time. She greeted me one time for my birthday and out of the blue. So I gave her a call. A little bit of chit-chat, reminisce, and then, after that, nagsabi siya na she’s trying to decorate, yung house niya. So I told her I’m willing to help her, I can give her my contacts who helped me with my house. Naging busy kami, we didn’t talk and then, yun, tumawag ako sa kaibigan ko sa Siargao, siya ang sumagot.”
At present Derek admits he’s okay with his current girlfriend Joanne Villablanca.
“Angel will be okay. Angel will find the right guy. Imposibleng she doesn’t. She’s a wonderful lady. She’s a sweetheart and she’ll find a right man, and that’s what I hope for. She will find a right guy who will treat her right.
“I guess, they had a relationship, they didn’t work-out. But from what I see, they’re friends after having a serious relationship, they didn’t workout but they are both matured to be friends with one another.”
