SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – Having more reasons to shop, HMR Trading Haus opened its 22nd store at Harbor Point here on Friday.
A simple ribbon cutting ceremony and blessing was led by Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr., HMR Retail Haus, Inc. CEO Sharlene Carman, and HMR Philippines Inc. VP for finance Linda Carman.
According to Sharlene Carman, HMR Subic is the second store to open during a pandemic as it is still in a temporary format in order to keep the store open without losing the market while currently renovating the old store to expand the space.
“This is actually a smaller format, this is basically a pop-up store as we are renovating our old store here and expanding the space. We wanted to make it bigger and more improved,” said Carman.
“If we can manage this space together with our current space and justify having two stores in one area, then that is better. Everything is kind of unpredictable because of how the economy is,” she added.
HMR Subic offers various affordable surplus items from apparels, kitchenwares and dinnerwares, office and home furnitures, appliances and other electronics, sporting and gym equipment, and industrial and machinery.
“We go out of our way to look for very affordable items so we can sell them to our customers at the lowest possible price,” she shared.
HMR Subic currently offers promotional prices from 25 to 50 percent off with great deals and bargains on gym equipment, tv and other home appliances, housewares, and dinnerware while some items start at P49.

HMR Trading Haus also has a membership program for its loyal customers where they can earn 1 point for every P200 single receipt purchase and exchange the earned points from the products on its Treat Club booths in their stores. Customers can register at any HMR stores to become a Treat Club member.
