Former Miss World Phils Catriona Gray to join Bb Pilipinas 2018

    MISS WORLD Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray submitted her application for Binibining Pilipinas 2018 The Filipino-Australian model is making a comeback in the pageant scene.

    The 23-year-old beauty queen submitted her application for the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 pageant early today, January 8, at the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI) in Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City.

    In an Instagram post, Catriona thanked her fans for their unwavering support especially now that she’s embarking on a new chapter of her life.

    She wrote, “Are you ready for it? Today marks the reveal of an evolution of self that has been quietly happening away from the public’s eye for a little while now.

    “It was in no way planned, but sometimes the stars align to make things happen.

    “Maraming Salamat sa inyong tiwala at sana samahan niyo ako sa aking bagong paglalakbay.”

    Catriona was asked why she decided to join the Binibining PIlipinas pageant. She answered, “I felt like I had an unfinished business, but also, I really enjoyed being a charity spokesperson for the longest time, so what bigger platform could I ask for.”

    Catriona was crowned Miss World Philippines in October 2016.

    Two months later, she represented the country in the Miss World 2016 pageant held at Maryland, USA and made a top 5 finish.

    Puerto Rico’s Stephanie del Valle eventually won the crown. Catriona previously trained under Aces & Queens for the Miss World Philippines pageant, but decided to join Binibining Pilipinas as an independent candidate.

    AFTER THE father and son exchange of foul words, Diego Loyzaga and Cesar Montano ended the gap.

    In February 2017, Diego posted words of grievances against his dad (Cesar Montano).

    This was in reply to his dad;s threat that he will be nabbed by policemen due to drug use.

    “We’re okay naman. Nagkaroon lang kami ng kaunting problema.

    “Pero ang ama naman at ang isang anak, we’re blood. Kadugo ko siya.

    “And no matter… whether we like it or not… and I’m not saying we don’t, ha, kasi alam ko matu-twist-twist na naman, pero I love my father.

    “And I know that he loves me.”

    Has he talk to his dad after that exchange of words in the social media?

    “Oo naman “in fact, binati ko pa nga syia last christmas,e.

    Diego is one of the main cast of an upcoming movie titled “Mam’s Girl” together with Ms. Sylvia Sanchez and Sofi a Andres.

    “MY KOREAN JAGIYA” will be ending this Friday which is topblilled by Heart Evangelista and Korean actor Alexander Lee.

    Accroding to a GMA insider, Alexander is under their management – which is GMA Artist Center, and after its last episode the actor will be leaving for South Korea, to be with his family While in Korea, Alexander plans to go continue with his radio program in South Korea, while he awaits for projects from GMA.

    Alexander learned a lot from the Filipino culture.

    In fact, the former U-Kiss member said in an interview…

    “There are too many things I learned from the shows, ranging from Filipino culture, working experience, to reflection on life.

    “I think the most important thing I learned this time is also what Jun Ho learnt: Fame and popularity do not make you happy; it’s the love ones around you that is more important and could bring you true happiness.”

    Alexander played Jun Ho in My Korean Jagiya.

    “Personally, the most memorable scene to me was in Bataan.

    “The gondola scene was a great experience, and I had a great time talking with Heart on the boat about our personal lives, which made our friendship even closer.

    “Also, the monument and the architecture were so beautiful, and I had a fun time dressing up in traditional Filipino/Spanish clothes, so that made me remember that scene a lot.”

    He said he will never forget his closeness with Heart.

    “I think I will miss having heart-to-heart talks with Heart.

    “She really understands my feeling instantly and always gives me good advices on work and even on life.

    “And I will definitely miss working with her because she is so easy to work with and the chemistry is just perfect,”

    It was Alexander’s frist time to experience christmas and new year in the Philippines.

    “Christmas, as expected, is really big here in the Philippines, but what I didn’t expect was New Year.

    “New Year celebration here is so crazy and fun! “Filipinos really know how to party and enjoy, with lots of food and fireworks around.

    “Even though I was away from my family, I was so blessed to have my MKJ family, and Miss Janice de Belen was so kind to have me at her place for both Christmas and New Year countdown.

    “Had a great time together with her family and friends.

    “Really glad to experience these celebrations here in the Philippines.”
