EdPam delivers final SOCA

ANGELES CITY – Angeles City Mayor and League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) President Edgardo Pamintuan is set to deliver his 9th State of the City Address (SOCA) dubbed as “Ulat sa Bayan” at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 31 at the Legislative Hall Building, City Hall.

The mayor will usher the Angeleños on a retrospective look into his priority projects and resolutions from year 2010, leading to the present state of this highly-urbanized city.

This year’s SOCA is expected to constitute updates on Pamintuan’s 8-point platform of governance, or the Contract with the Angeleños (CWA) in the realm of education, health, arts and culture, urban renewal and development, emergency and disaster, public safety, economy, good governance and others.

Capping his final term as the local chief executive, Pamintuan is set to highlight the legacy projects and achievements of his administration that are beyond what were enshrined in the expanded CWA signed during his first term in 2010.

This city’s first and only 5-term mayor will also disclose a detailed report on the city-funded infrastructure developments, and projects under the Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Public Works and Highways (DTI-DPWH) Convergence Program, the Roads Leveraging Linkages of Industry and Trade (ROLL-IT).

“Despite the call to be a good steward of the national roles I have been endowed with, I would like to present my 9th SOCA to the Angeleños as a tangible testament that we have never slowed down in our work in Angeles City,” the mayor said.

Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, city government employees, barangay officials, representatives from diff erent business and sectoral groups, socio-cultural, academe, and non-government organizations (NGOs) here are called to witness Pamintuan’s final report on the city’s state and future plans.
