IBA, Zambales – Twelve drug personalities were arrested by elements of Zambales PNP in separate drug operations in San Marcelino, Castillejos and Subic towns, all in Zambales province.

Reports reaching the office of Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr. said seven drug personalities were arrested by joint elements of San Marcelino Municipal Police Station led by Police Captain Janice R. Piga and Zambales Provincial Intelligence Branch led by Police Lt. Col. Leonardo N. Madrid in simultaneous buy-bust operations in barangays Lucero and Rizal, San Marcelino.

The suspects were identified as Noel Padua y Domingo, Jr., 25, of Purok 4, and Maribel Pona y Pitalber, 43, of Purok 5, both in Barangay San Pablo, Castillejos; John Rowel Anillo y Esteban, 33, and his common-law wife Jennifer Esteban y Asinas, 33, and their 14-yearold son, of Tikubs Compound, Barangay Rizal, San Marcelino town; Jethro Moreno y Magtuto, 27, of Barangay San Guillermo, and Alexander Ladringan, Jr. y Cadiente, 37, of Barangay Consuelo Sur, both in San Marcelino, Zambales.

Police confiscated a total of three sachets of suspected shabu, the P1,000 marked money, two opened sachets with residue of suspected shabu, one weighing scale, assorted drug paraphernalia, and three packs of marijuana weighing three kilos that was recovered from Anillo.

In Castillejos, operatives led by Police Major Joe Louies I. Lo, Jr., head of Castillejos PNP, arrested suspects George Corpuz y Cadavos, 38, and Danica Gomez y Fulton, 28, both residents of the town.

The two were arrested after an undercover agent was able to purchase one pack of shabu worth P3,000 from Corpuz.

Police confiscated from Corpuz and Gomez five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.

In Barangay Matain, Subic, Police Major Gilbert C. DIAZ, head of Subic PNP, arrested three suspects identified as Edward Santos y Gomez,, Nancy Santos y Jalil, and Jover Juliano y Peraz, all residents of the town.

Police said they confiscated from the suspects one digital weighing scale, and 11 plastic sachets of shabu, including the P500 worth of shabu which was allegedly sold by Santos to a poseur-buyer.

All the suspects were charged for violation of R.A. 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) at the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor in Olongapo City.
