Drug den dismantled, 5 arrested

IBA, Zambales – A buy-bust operation led to the dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of five suspects, including two minors on Wednesday.

Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño said the 305th Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3) led by Major Janice E. Piga conducted the operation at Purok 4, Barangay Consuelo Sur, San Marcelino town.

Police, reports said, set up the buy-bust after spotting the suspects selling shabu inside a suspected drug den. A poseur-buyer was able to purchase one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu with approximate weight of 0.5 grams with a P500 bill, prompting the police to make the arrests.

The suspects were identified as Jay-Ar Guiang y Paje, 22; Jaymark Domingo y Castillo, 32; John Brex Sahagun y Puyat, 23; and two minors, all from Purok 4, Barangay Consuelo Sur, San Marcelino.

Police further recovered from the suspects two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with approximate weight of 1.1 grams; another heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing approximately 1.2 grams; one piece of rolled aluminum foil used as improvised tooter; one piece of aluminum foil used as runway with traces of suspected shabu; one roll of aluminum foil; one green Lighter; and one empty plastic sachet with traces of suspected shabu.

The suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to San Marcelino Municipal Police Station while the two minors were remanded to the custody of social workers of San Marcelino.
