CLARK FREEPORT – The Department of Health (DOH) has cited the efforts of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) against the spread of the coronavirus, particularly the launching of the COVID-19 central hotline last April 7.

According to DOH, the launching of the hotline made a positive impact to the community in containing the spread of COVID-19. The guidelines and safety protocols have also restricted the movement of people in areas – both in Pampanga and in Tarlac – where the enhanced community quarantine was previously in effect.

In the official Facebook page of DOH, it expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the officials of CDC and its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner, for launching the COVID-19 hotline which significantly helped the community during the ECQ.

The post included CDC’s emergency hotline along with a caption which stated: “Through this hotline, the public’s needs are better met and they were able to encourage people to stay at home.”

Instead of going to hospitals and other health institutions for their usual consultations, people are calling the hotline from the comfort of their homes to address their health concerns.

CDC’s Covid-19 hotline provided immediate emergency response to all callers. They were directed to nurses and medical staff of CDC’s Health and Sanitation Division (HSD) headed by Dr. Clemencita Dobles to further assess their medical conditions.

The Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) and CDC have tapped BPOs operating in Clark for the project. The central hotline continues to receive calls from 8 AM to 1 AM daily.

Meanwhile, CDC will continue to implement safety protocols issued by DOH and the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) to maintain a safe environment and work place for all residents and employees inside the Freeport.
