CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A total of 43 children diagnosed with cancer received financial assistance from the provincial government on Dec. 9.
Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda personally checked on the children as they distributed the assistance to their parents and guardians at the Bren Z. Guiao, Convention Center.
Each cancer patient received P10,000 in checks.
The governor pledged an additional monthly assistance of P5,000 to support medication of the patients and ease their families’ economic burdens.
“Commitment mi kekayu additional P5,000 monthly na assistance para kareng pangangailangan da reng anak. Try mi ri Nanay kung makananu kaming makasaup kareng maintenance medicines da,” he said.
Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the assistance given by the provincial government.
“Dahil po kay Governor Delta, unti-unti na pong gumagaling ang anak ko sa sakit na cancer,” said Alfred Brosas, father of a cancer beneficiary.
The provincial social welfare and development office confirmed that the additional assistance will be disbursed quarterly starting next year. Pampanga PIO
