Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda lauds SMC initiative in fight against the pandemic.
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – San Miguel Corporation’s anti-Covid vaccination program for its employees under the A4 category and their families has earned praises and support from local government executives.
At the launch of the program dubbed “Ligtas Lahat” Thursday at the Green City Medical Center here, Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda congratulated SMC for its initiative impacting the collective efforts of government and the private sector in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Pineda likewise cited the strides toward economic recovery that a vaccinated workforce would contribute.
For his part, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago expressed his full support to the SMC program.
The city mayor said the initiative will be of big help to the city’s goal of fast-tracking its Covid-19 rollout among the members of the A4 category, including those housed at SMC’s San Fernando facility that caters to Fernandino and non-Fernandino workers.
During the launch also attended by national task force deputy chief implementer Vince Dizon, some 500 SMC employees were inoculated with their first dose of the vaccine.
It was learned that aside from Pampanga, SMC has also activated its vaccination sites in Laguna and in cities of Mandaluyong, Pasig, and Davao. It seeks to establish sites in at least 10 more areas across the country. With CSFP-CIO
