SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ (PIA) — Agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) in Nueva Ecija are set to receive dairy enterprise development interventions under a partnership between the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC).
Implemented under the Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PAHP) Project, the initiative will provide qualified ARBOs with technical assistance, capability-building activities, and institutional support to strengthen their organizations, improve productivity, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement signed by Supervising Agrarian Reform Program Officer Ming Ocampo for DAR Central Luzon, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Eden Ponio for DAR Nueva Ecija, and PCC Executive Director Liza Battad.
According to DAR, the PAHP Project promotes convergence among government agencies by linking organized ARBOs with technical expertise, institutional support, and market-oriented opportunities.
The agency said the partnership forms part of its continuing effort to pair land tenure improvement with support services that can help ARBOs become more productive, resilient, and economically self-sufficient, while enabling ARBs to make better use of their awarded lands and improve their quality of life.
With PCC providing technical expertise in dairy production and enterprise development, participating organizations will be supported in diversifying their livelihood activities, improving their operations, and contributing to local food security and rural economic growth.
DAR noted that the combined expertise and resources of the agencies are intended to help ARBOs build sustainable dairy enterprises that can generate long-term economic opportunities for their members.
The initiative is aligned with the national government’s agenda under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to boost agricultural productivity, ensure food security, and expand livelihood opportunities in rural communities. (CLJD/MAECR, PIA Region 3-Nueva Ecija)
