BALANGA CITY — Police on Thursday reported the arrest in Lipa City, Batangas of a father and his two sons wanted for frustrated murder here.
Major Sonia M. Alvarez, Balanga City police chief, said a composite team of policemen from Bataan and Batangas served the warrant of arrest that led to the apprehension of Joseph Pagulayan, 62, and children Gonzalo, 29, and tricycle driver Jude, 34, in barangay Lodlod, Lipa City.
Gonzalo is a resident of Lote in Puerto Rivas, Balanga City while the other two are from Lodlod.
They were accused of frustrated murder and the subjects of a warrant of arrest issued on November 14, 2016 by Presiding Judge Gener M. Gito of the Third Judicial Region, Branch 92 in Balanga City.
Bail of P200,000 was recommended for each of the accused.
Alvarez said that the three were listed as No. 8 (Jude), 9 (Gonzalo) and 10 (Joseph) “Most Wanted” of the Batangas Police Provincial Office.
The arresting team who conducted manhunt operation Wednesday afternoon in Lipa City was composed of police officers from Balanga City police station and Bataan Police Provincial Office led by Lt. Gilcerio D. Dizon, Jr. and from Lipa City under Lt. Rommel P. Magno.
The suspects were brought to Balanga City police station for documentation and proper disposition, Alvarez said.
