IBA, Zambales — A total of 56 suspect cases were declared negative while one was confirmed positive of Covid–19 here in the 3rd batch of RT-PCR test results released May 28 by the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital in City of San Fernando, Pampanga which conducted the tests.
The confirmed Covid-19 patient is a 38–year–old female from Barangay Maloma , San Felipe who has no travel history but was reportedly in contact with a confirmed positive patient who is also from the said place.
The patient and her family were included in the list of contact tracing after a barriomate was confirmed to be positive, and advised to undergo quarantine period.
On May 19, she went to the rural health unit to undergo rapid diagnostic test wherein she was found to be reactive and was immediately taken to the President Ramon Memorial Hospital where she underwent another RTD and was admitted immediately.
On May 25, swab test was conducted with positive confirmation on May 28. She is reported to be in stable condition in the said hospital.
Meanwhile, Zambales Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane, Jr. posted on Facebook that the province is under general community quarantine effective June 1-15, as per Resolution #40 Series of 2020 by the Inter Agency Task Force dated March 28.
Under the GCQ, more businesses will open and public utility buses will be permitted to operate while following guidelines set by the Department of Transportation.
