Covid-19 in Cabanatuan: 5 new confirmed cases uptotal to 364

CABANATUAN CITY – A 93-year-old woman who suffered from sore throat was the oldest among five new confirmed Covid-19 cases in this city, according to data from the city health office.

The symptomatic patient from Barangay San Josef Norte here had no travel history but had to undergo swab testing on Oct. 18, the report showed. The result was released Oct. 20 and she is now admitted to a health facility.

The other Covid-19 cases in the latest list include a 30-year-old male employee from Barangay San Josef Sur, a 32-year-old female employee from Barangay Pagas, a 50-year-old female employee from Barangay San Juan Accfa, and a 50-year-old non-working woman from San Josef Norte.

These cases raised to 364 the confirmed cases of Covid-19 infections, of which 48 are active and 313 have recovered, as of Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The Covid-19 related deaths here rose to eight after the death of an elderly patient on Sunday.
