CL grads top 2013 vet board exams

    CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Two graduates from Central Luzon State University (CLSU) landed as topnotchers among 242 passers of last September’s board exam for veterinarians, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced .

    Felkins Miguel Macabitas got 88.20 percent followed by schoolmate Gian Ato Dizon Canlas (85.86 percent).

    Both of them graduated from the CLSU based in Munoz, Nueva Ecija. Meriam Bacuñata Cautiver from University of the Philippines- Los Baños (UPLB) landed third (85.32 percent), Christine Lynn Iturralde Marcelino from Aklan State University-Banga placed fourth (84.82 percent), and Leo Roberto Baquilod Bebita from Southwestern University finished fifth (84.42 percent).

    Rounding up the top 10 are Jessica Namingsan Eugenio from Benguet State University (83.18 percent), Cellito Cahatol Mendoza from UPLB (82.84 percent), Mary Jasmin Cabillon Ang from UPLB (82.80 percent), Kevin Christian Montecillo Gulay from UPLB (82.74 percent), and Cyrille Laiza Sanchez Sta. Maria from Cagayan State University-Tuguegarao (82.70 percent).

    In his Facebook page, Macabitas from Nueva Ecija province thanked all the people who had supported him.

    A total of 611 took the exam, which was simultaneously held, in the cities of Manila and Cagayan de Oro.
