TARLAC CITY – Cindy’s Bakery and Restaurant has officially opened its first concept store at Citywalk here on Wednesday.
A simple ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing was held on Tuesday and was graced by the presence of Governor Susan Yap, Mayor Cristy Angeles, Cindy’s manufacturing director Jon Chua, and Benigno Ng Chua.
According to Jon Chua, they have planned to continue on putting up the first concept store albeit the Covid-19 pandemic situation as it is also an opportunity to take their time in order to capture the right market through the younger generations as Cindy’s have also evolved over time.
“Actually before the pandemic naka plan na ‘to. No turning back eh. The pandemic was an opportunity for us to improve it, at least hindi minadali since we took our time. So this is the fifth version already,” said Chua.
“We started from a panciteria and then nag-evolved na din. We have to adapt to the technology, and yung equipment iba na rin. We plan to copy our other stores already and convert them into concept stores to capture the younger generations,” he added.
Serving “good food in a good place” since 1972, Cindy’s has been catering to its customers for almost 50 years from its signature cakes and baked products such as ensaymada, bread rolls, and loaf breads to classic merienda meal favorites of burgers, chicken barbecue, and pancit palabok.
With over 60 bakeshops and 120 bakery dealers and retailers nationwide, Cindy’s plans to bring its concept store design to all its stores in order to set a new ambience and bring both of its classic favorites and newest products to every Filipino family.
Located at Citywalk, Zamora St., Tarlac City, Cindy’s Bakery and Restaurant is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
