CABANATUAN CITY – A Chinese businessman was reportedly abducted by still unidentified armed along Salazar St., Barangay Magsasay Norte here shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday.
A sketchy police report showed the victim identified as one Bingkun Kang, 41, of Nava St., Barangay Magsaysay Norte here was snatched by suspects on board a white commuter van.
“The victim was walking along the said street when the suspects suddenly arrived and forcibly abducted the victim by dragging him inside the said van,” the report said.
The victim reportedly runs an onion storage facility in Talavera town.
The suspects sped off southward towards Barangay Mabini here, the report also said.
A ranking police official said the case has been referred to the Philippine National Police’s anti-kidnapping group even as the local police were on a tracking operation.
