CLARK FREEPORT –“It’s easier said than done.”

Thus said Clark Development Corp. (CDC) President and CEO Felipe Antonio Remollo when asked to comment on the statements of an ex-CDC head that Clark officials should “dream bigger” to attract massive developments here.

Remollo urged former CDC President and CEO Rufo Colayco and stakeholders to “just think of what they can contribute to help in the success of the Freeport.”

He stressed that the sports tourism programs pushed by the CDC will bring more developments and activities in this freeport.

“We promote sports tourism and this entails a few funding. But its benefits are huge and will benefit even communities outside Clark,” said Remollo, who spoke to Punto during a softball game at the Parade Ground over the weekend.

Remollo announced that the CDC will host the Philippine national finals of Little League baseball and softball competitions next April.

He said some 4,000 participants and their companions are expected to grace the soft and baseball tournaments at the 23-hectare CDC Parade Ground.

The CDC is set to create at least eight softball and baseball “diamonds” as games will be held simultaneously.

Remollo cited Brazil’s hosting of the 2016 Olympics which already attracted more interest to the South American country.

He also mentioned China and Australia which both benefited after hosting past Olympics games.
