CANDABA, Pampanga — Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Mayor Rene Maglanque led the blessing and inauguration of two newly constructed school buildings worth a total of P23.2 million in this town on July 2.
Funded by the Provincial Government of Pampanga through the Special Education Fund, the buildings are intended to provide additional classrooms and improved learning facilities for the Candaba youth.
The first inauguration was held at Gulap National High School in Barangay Sto. Rosario, where a two-storey, six-classroom building worth P11.5 million was formally opened.

“Through the collaboration of the Capitol, the local government unit, and the barangay, we are now able to serve 235 students from Barangay Sto. Rosario and Gulap with the help of this building. This is a big help to our learners so they can study better and succeed,” said enthused John Louise Marcaida, a teacher from Gulap National High School.
Another two-storey, six-classroom building at San Agustin Elementary School in Barangay San Agustin was inaugurated by the officials. Funded with P11.7 million from the SEF, the building will benefit more than 270 elementary students and help address learning disruptions caused by flooding in the area.
Each building is equipped with comfort rooms, chairs, blackboards, and ceiling fans to provide students with a more comfortable, organized, and conducive learning environment.

“This is a big help, especially since Barangay San Agustin is prone to flooding. When the flood is only at a manageable level, our students will still be able to attend classes, especially now that our old building is already damaged,” said Maria Gomez, a teacher from San Agustin Elementary School.
Through these projects, the Provincial Government of Pampanga continues to strengthen its commitment to improving educational infrastructure and supporting the needs of Kapampangan learners. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina Kiervin Cayanan
