CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Mayor Edwin Santiago announced yesterday that the yearend bonuses of 1,267 employees of the city hall will be released before December 15.

Santiago said the allocation of the bonuses was okayed by the city government’s finance committee and the human resource and development office.

“All permanent and casual employees of the city will be paid 50 percent of their 13th month pay in addition to 50 percent cash gift equivalent to P2,500,” he said. Those hired last July 1 will receive full 13th month pay with P5,000 worth of cash gift while employees hired beyond July 1 will receive a prorated cash incentive, he added.

“We have ensured that everyone will receive a year-end bonus as a way of giving fair benefits to all public servants in the city hall,” said Santiago during the Monday flag-raising rites yesterday. Additional compensation worth P2,000 will also be given to project-based or contractual personnel, he also noted.
