BALANGA CITY — The provincial government of Bataan announced Wednesday
that it has awarded Citicore Power, Inc. an original proponent status (OPS) in
response to its proposal to use solar energy in the province.

Jose Enrique
Garcia III said.

The project will be under a public-private-partnership scheme. The governor said
that as a start, solar panels may be installed at the civic center and public market
in Dinalupihan town, Bataan National High School in Balanga City, and Mariveles
National High School.

ating kalikasan,” Garcia said.

Presently operational in Bataan are coal-fired power plants in Limay and
Mariveles towns.
