BALANGA CITY — A local publisher/editor and teacher died from a lingering illness at a private hospital here Wednesday.

Ben Medina, 77, of Orani, Bataan was publisher and editor of Bataan Today, one of the oldest newsweeklies in the province.

He was former president of the Central Luzon Media Association. For some time, he co-anchored a program at a local radio station.

Medina worked with the Bataan provincial government. He also taught at the Holy Rosary Parochial School in Orani, Northern Bataan Institute in Dinalupihan, and Tomas del Rosario Academy in Balanga City.

He trained many school journalists in the province.

He left four children. He was a widower.
