CLARK FREEPORT ZONE, Philippines – Alpha Aviation Group (Philippines) and Alpha Aviation Academy (UAE) formally signs today a training agreement designed to deliver the core flying phase of AAA’s multi-crew pilot license (MPL) program for student pilots bound for Air Arabia.

Representing AAG (PH) and AAA (UAE) are Mr. Cristopher Magdangal (AAG Regional Director, Asia-Pacific) and Capt. Nadhem Al Hamad (AAA Accountable Manager).

Witnessing the ceremony are the entire management team and personnel of AAG (PH); Ms. Marcia Nunes (AAA Compliance, Safety and SMS Manager) and Capt. Johannes Bardoul (AAA Head of Training); and the 16 student pilots of AAA comprising the first batch to be trained in the Philippines. Preparations are now underway for the next batch of 10 student pilots expected to commence training by February and March 2019.

“This training partnership between the sister academies is in response to the aviation industry’s increasing demand for world-class airline pilot training solutions. It comes after intense work of audits and GCAA-UAE audit and approval,” Capt. Nadhem states.

“AAG is committed to delivering the highest standards of safety, quality and training standards for this core flying program as required by AAA,” Mr. Magdangal adds.

AAA’s unique MPL training program attracts highly motivated individuals from all over the world who have the passion to pursue a rewarding career in commercial aviation. Since 2009, the program has supplied Air Arabia with over 350 First Officers, more than 15 of whom have already been upgraded to Captains and the others undergoing command upgrades.

Meanwhile since 2006, AAG has trained over 900 pilots now flying for leading regional carriers such as Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, VietJet, Air Asia, and Jet Airways (India).

The Group currently has more than 300 students in training through its Ab-Initio and Type Rating Training programs. Since 2014, its CAAV-approved Ab-Initio and A320 Type Rating training programs have produced more than 180 first officer-qualified pilots for Viet-Jet.
