MARIVELES, Bataan — Police on Wednesday night arrested two suspected drug traders that included a teenage girl and confiscated shabu worth more than P7.4 million, a firearm, and ammunitions in Barangay San Isidro here.
Bataan police director Col. Romell Velasco identified the suspects as Noel Dela Cruz, 38, of San Isidro and a 15-year-old girl alias Nene, of Barangay Ipag, also in Mariveles.
Velasco said the two were apprehended during the implementation of a search warrant for possession of firearms and illegal drugs.
Seized were nine large heat-sealed plastic sachets, five medium size heat-sealed plastic sachets and two tea bag size heat-sealed plastic sachets, all containing suspected shabu of more or less 1,100 grams with estimated market value of P7,480,000, the PD said.
Also confiscated were a .45 pistol with four pieces of ammunition, two magazines with 17 ammos for .45, two boxes containing 76 ammos for cal. 45, and other drug paraphernalia.
Velasco said the suspects face cases for violation of Sections 11 and 12 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and RA 1059 (Illegal possession of firearms).
