CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia has offered a P1 million reward for anyone with information that could lead to the killer of a young man and his girlfriend who were together last Saturday but whose bodies were found in separate places in Bataan last Tuesday.

A report received at Camp Olivas from the Bataan police said the victims were both employees of a fast food chain in Balanga City, Bataan. They were identified as James Clark Guzman, 22, and Glory Mary Carbonell, 19.

The report quoted relatives as saying that the two separately asked for permission from their parents for diff erent reasons.

Lotlot Guzman, mother of James, said that last Saturday, her son told her he was going to get his salary and that he and his girlfriend would also go to church.

Mrs. Guzman appealed to Pres. Duterte to intervene for the immediate solution of the case. The two youths, however, did not return home since then until their bodies were found separately last Tuesday.

James’ body was found by fishermen as it floated on the waters off the coasts of the town of Orion, while that of Glory was found on the waters off the town of Pilar, the police report said.

Police said there were indications that James was hit by a boat paddle, based on a gash on his nape. Medical report on the body of Glory was not immediately available.

The two had met Saturday at the Wetland and Nature Park in Barangay Tortugas in Balanga where workers found their bags, slippers and other personal belongings.

Personnel at the office of the governor in Balanga confirmed that Garcia had announced a P1 million reward for anyone who could point to the culprit in the murders.
