CLARK FREEPORT – As a fitting celebration of its 73rd anniversary, the Pampanga Press Club gave recognition to individuals and organizations who displayed able leadership at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic that helped save lives, reduce risks, and redounded to the well-being of the Kapampangan, including members of the media.
Honored during the anniversary rites held on Thursday at the Royce Hotel here were Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo, Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry pillar and Romac Group chairman-CEO Rene Romero, Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital Medical chief Dr. Monserrat Chichioco, Pampanga Covid-19 Response Team head Dr. Dax Tidula, NLEX Corp. represented by VP for communication and stakeholder management Donna Marcelo, Mekeni Food Corp. represented by its president Pruds Garcia, and Clark Development Corp. represented by president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera.
The PPC is witness to and chronicled in the news stories of its members the exemplary performance of the awardees in addressing the pandemic.
On behalf of the club, PPC president Noel Tulabut said: “We are thankful for the unwavering support of the awardees to our members during the height of the pandemic. Without hesitation, they extended a helping hand during a very difficult time and helped bring relief to the PPC and its members, helping us perform our jobs as media practitioners.”

Speaking on behalf of all awardees, Romac Group’s Rene Romero thanked the PPC and the media, who are “partners in making the businesses grow.”
In her speech, Vice Governor Pineda also cited the PPC for “always by the side” of the provincial government in all its endeavors for the uplift of the quality of life of the Kapampangans.
