BALANGA CITY — A 33-year-old online seller was shot dead reportedly by her live-in partner in a fit of jealousy inside their rented apartment in Barangay Sibacan here Sunday.

City police chief Lt. Col. Dennis R. Orbista said victim Regine Ebueng died from a gunshot wound from a still undetermined caliber at the right side of her head and was found lying on the kitchen floor.

Orbista identified the suspect as Aldrin John Soriano, 40, of Barangay Tenejero, Balanga City. After the shooting, the suspect fled onboard a blue Honda sedan.

He said that previously, the couple went to the police station complaining against each other, the man suspicious that his live-in-partner was having an illicit affair.
Orbista said they are also looking on allegations that the suspect was involved in illegal drugs.

Regina Marie Ebueng, the victim’s mother, said that her daughter and her live-in partner have a three-year-old child. She said that while her daughter was an online seller of gold, clothes, bags and cosmetics, the live-in-partner is jobless.

Ebueng said her daughter was with her two young children from her previous marriage when the suspect with their only child arrived before the shooting.

She claimed that suspect was into drugs.
