DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — Elements of the Provincial Highway Patrol Team-Bataan recovered a stolen motorcycle while they were conducting anti-carnapping/anti-hijacking/anti-highway robbery operation along the national road in Barangay New San Jose, here on Wednesday.
In his report to Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3 chief Col. Bernard Mazal, PHPT-Bataan chief Capt. Marlon Anacleto C. Agno said EMS Aurelio S Ballesteros, SSg Christopher G Amistoso, and Pat. Federico R Cabauatan flagged down one blue Suzuki Raider motorcycle with plate number VJ -2150 for violation of open muffler and no side mirror regulations.
The driver, identified as Erwin Manalang y Pamittan, 25, a merchandizer at a local supermarket and a resident of Barangay Dalaw, Dinalupihan, failed to present any document on the motorcycle and even his driver’s license.
Verification with made to HPG-Vehicle Management Information System revealed that the motorcycle is included in the list of Wanted/Stolen MC under alarm number 2007 – 1212046 reported as “Stolen While Parked Unattended” along the World Trade Center, Pasay City on Dec. 7, 2007 as reported by the registered owner HMS Credit and Finance Co. Inc with address at #506-610, JP Rizal St., Barangay Olympia, Makati City.
Manalang was arrested and the recovered motorcycle taken under the custody of PHPT-Bataan for documentation. Appropriate charge had been readied against the suspect for filing in court.
