BALANGA CITY – The number of active cases of the coronavirus disease in Bataan has continued to rise daily since December 28 of last year with 20 cases to 53 on Saturday, the start of the New Year.
Per Monday report of the provincial health office, all 11 towns and one city in the province are back with active cases as of Jan. 1, with Bagac as the last to register a case.
Latest PHO report showed that active cases are in Balanga City – 11, Limay – 8, Mariveles – 6, Dinalupihan – 6, Samal – 5, Pilar – 4, Abucay – 3, Hermosa – 3, Orani – 3, Orion – 2, Bagac – 1, and Morong – 1.
The number of those who were tested positive of Covid–19 rose to 29,561 after 11 new confirmed cases were added to the list with three in Balanga City, two each in Dinalupihan and Limay and one each in Bagac, Mariveles, Orani, and Samal.
There was no reported recovery, the total staying at 28,298. The number of deaths remained at 1,210 after no new casualties were recorded.
Meanwhile, vaccination against Covid-19 continued in different inoculation sites in the province.
